About this curriculum

65+ activities help students enjoy learning about the North American tradition of making maple syrup. Topics include: collecting sap, turning sap into syrup, modern-day maple syrup collection, flavors of syrup and more! Students will compare the ways maple syrup was made and maple syrup products from history to today. Students will express their creativity as they make a Mokuk, take bark rubbings and cook up seven recipes using maple syrup to make Maple Banana Eggnog, Maple Milkshakes, Maple Butter Frosting and more!
