About this curriculum

Students will learn about the: development of Ottawa as the capital of Canada Ottawa's history Canada's parliamentary system famous buildings in the capital city This unit is divided into four parts: The first part is divided into six sections, each one telling part of the history of Ottawa with a brief written outline and accompanying activities. The second part consists of a series of activity cards that can be used for small group or independent study. The third part contains information and activities about the parliamentary system and the fourth part contains a series of question sheets about famous buildings in the capital.
