Course Description This single-semester course covers a variety of essential topics and skills related to personal finance to help students build the foundation and confidence necessary to become a financially informed adult. Students explore how to make informed, personal decisions that are best for their needs, interests, comfort level, and goals. The information and materials provided in this course are for educational purposes only. This course is not intended to be interpreted as financial advice. Finance information, rules, and regulations are constantly changing, and students are encouraged to investigate the most current and up-to-date information related to taxes, investing contribution limits, FAFSA guidelines, etc. The course is packed with resources, options to choose from, and many brief activities intended to support learning. Topics include consumer skills, banking, saving, credit, investing, insurance, taxes, budgeting, and college and career planning.
