About this curriculum
Problemoids engages children in high-level thinking about challenging mathematics, mathematical reasoning, and general logic problems by using problem-solving strategies, not on memorization or operations. It contains 36 problems, with four extension problems for each one, for a total of 180 problems. This book will challenge children while providing them with opportunities to build their problem-solving skills. The Problemoids Grade 4 Math Challenge book engages children in high-level thinking about challenging mathematics, mathematical reasoning, and general logic problems by focusing on developing and using problem-solving strategies, not on memorization or operations. The book contains 36 problems, with four extension problems called “Looking-Back Questions” for each one, for a total of 180 problems. The looking-back questions build on the main problem and on one another, allowing children to use the problem-solving strategies that they are acquiring in progressively more complex and challenging ways.
