About this curriculum

Well-Ordered Language Foundations sets the stage for student success in Well-Ordered Language Levels 1 through 4 by introducing the 8 parts of speech and basic analysis of the 4 kinds of sentences. Designed for the early grades, it is a hands-on approach that introduces students to foundational grammar while they enjoy poems and fables—in addition to learning some of the lyrics for the songs & chants used later throughout the curriculum. The 8 chapters of Well-Ordered Language Foundations feature engaging grammar lessons linked to delightful poems and fables that foster appreciation of language in action beginning choral analysis that provides a foundation for the WOL curriculum wide-ranging exercises that include individual seat work and interactive group activities captivating grammar songs that are also used in subsequent levels appealing illustrations that complement the poetry and activities accommodating lesson plans and assessment tools that provide a flexible approach for 20- to 30-minute lessons, 3 to 4 times per week Well-Ordered Language Foundations Tea…
