World Literature—Revised

About this curriculum

This beautifully illustrated anthology includes twelve units representing writers from around the world. Historical and cultural backgrounds in a Building Understanding section enable students to understand the significance of literature selections. Forming Response questions, Biblical Worldview prompts, and Thought Provoker prompts to encourage students to analyze the literary work from a biblical perspective. Because art also contains symbols and themes, the Spotlight on Visual Literacy feature teaches students to think critically about art. Students are encouraged to memorize select poems throughout the text to inspire their creativity and to aid in their character development.
